13.12.2023 | PULSAR Consulting welcomes Hale Reynolds as new Associate Partner

Hale Reynolds is a leading space innovator who has worked on many of the California industry’s most successful programmes, including several traditional geostationary (GEO) telecommunications satellites and non-traditional non-GEO (NGSO) telecommunications and remote sensing satellites.

Hale has expertise and a track record of traditional and innovative approaches to satellite and mission design and production, fundraising, supply chain management, strategic partnerships, business development, product development, and research and development. Hale also has deep technical expertise in all satellite subsystems and in advanced manufacturing and automation, antenna systems, advanced materials, additive manufacturing, robotics and remote sensing.

Previously, Hale held senior positions at SSL (MAXAR) and MDA, was part of the founding team at Astranis and was founder and CEO of the start-up Spotcoms. A Silicon Valley native, Hale graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in mechanical engineering and materials science.

PULSAR Consulting continues to grow. Since 1 August 2023, Munich-based corporate lawyer Freddy Kedak has joined the circle of professionals in the PULSAR Consulting Group. Mr Kedak will support and expand the multidisciplinary consulting approach of PULSAR Consulting, especially in complex corporate law issues.

He specialises in advising medium-sized companies and start-ups in the field of commercial and corporate law. In particular, he advises clients from the private equity and venture capital sector, which he also supports in matters of financing and restructuring. Mr Kedak was named ‘Best Specialist Commercial & Corporate Law 2023, Germany’ at the 2023 Global Excellence Awards. He also specialises in representing his clients in and out of court in shareholder disputes and directors‘ and officers’ liability proceedings.

Mr Kedak also has many years of professional expertise in transaction advice. In 2023, for example, he was honoured as ‘Winner – Best Attorney of the Year 2023 – Munich, Germany’ at the M&A Today Global Awards for the area of corporate transactions / M&A.

15.02.2023 | PULSAR Consulting Group supports successful rescue of Toposens GmbH by Mey Industry

The business operations of Munich-based Toposens GmbH have been saved. All employment relationships remain intact. With the support of PULSAR Consulting Group GmbH, the transferring reorganisation in the insolvency proceedings has been successful. Baker Tilly provided comprehensive legal advice to Mey Industry GmbH on the acquisition of the business operations of the insolvent Toposens GmbH from insolvency administrator Stefan Strüwind.

Toposens, a Munich-based start-up with 24 employees, developed the world’s first 3D ultrasonic sensor, but had to file for insolvency shortly before it was ready for the market. The Munich Local Court appointed lawyer Stefan Strüwind from Bendel Insolvenzverwaltung AG as provisional insolvency administrator on 22 November 2022. He and his team managed to stabilise the business after the insolvency application and keep all key employees in the company. He was supported in the global search for an investor by Hubertus Eing (Restructuring/M&A), Niclas Fritz (Start-up/Fundraising) and Sven-Olof Koopmann (DeepTech/Innovation Management) from Pulsar Consulting Group GmbH.

Mey Industry GmbH then came into play for the acquisition. It was able to make all the necessary preparations for the company acquisition within a very short time. Mey Industry GmbH, the holding company of WEBASTO main shareholder Gerhard Mey, unites various companies from the mechanical engineering sector such as Maschinenbau Leicht GmbH and Mey Maschinenbau Prien GmbH & Co KG under its umbrella.

‘We have bought a piece of the future here,’ says Gerhard Mey. ‘The entire Mey Group is focussing on Industry 4.0, and the products from Toposens are an ideal fit as an upcoming basic technology for many applications.’

21.04.2022 | PULSAR Consulting Group supports the company STAEX GmbH, a carve-out from Deutsche Telekom, with financing

PULSAR Consulting Group has successfully advised STAEX GmbH, based in Berlin, exclusively on the capital increase in May 2022 as part of the Series A financing. The round was closed in the single-digit million range.
Staex builds a peer-to-peer network across network boundaries using a proprietary protocol inspired by blockchains such as Ethereum. This ensures that any distributed system can communicate, share services and orchestrate deployments from any node in the network. 12.05.2021 | PULSAR Consulting Group starts cooperation with Haier Biomedical

The PULSAR Consulting Group will develop medical technology sales channels for Haier Biomedical in Germany. The cooperation mainly concerns the sale of ultra-low temperature freezers as part of the fight against the global COVID-19 pandemic.
The agreement will be implemented as part of the strategic partnership between PULSAR and S&G European Trade Solutions (Warsaw) and Sernet SpA (Milan).

Haier Biomedical is part of the Haier Group, the global market leader in household appliances. Haier Biomedical is the only manufacturer in the world to produce freezers and laboratory refrigerators that cover the full temperature range from -196°C to 8°C.
